In Good Company specialises in small parties for life's big events, and our desire for your guests to be in good company. Our shop offers an exquisite range of imported linen, tableware, decorations and favours.
ABOUT JULIE
Julie Gallagher's sole aim is to make gorgeous party goods reasonable and readily accessible in South Africa. Her passion for parties and strong creative streak is only surpassed by her love of shopping and eye for beautiful things. "It is often the case where just one or two ideal items will pull off the perfect party and I will find it!"
So with her unique ability to be in two places at once, one foot in South Africa and the other in Europe, Julie is able to provide the best the world has to offer right at your doorstep but also ensure personal service through her dedicated team and online availability. "I love entertaining, but my friend's are right when they say it is the planning and sourcing part that I enjoy more than the actual partying."
She's also admired for her innovative touch, inspired by her travels, keen interest in the industry and financial background. "I love the challenge of taking an idea, turning it into a reality, and more so within the constraints of time and a budget." It is for this reason that In Good Company is unique, offering a large selection of their products for hire.
Julie is married to Liam Gallagher (not the one from Oasis!) and a mother of two little girls, Zara and Bailey.
ABOUT AMY
Amy is a 21 year old Durbanite now living in Jo’burg with two of her brothers. She is a friendly, fun and energetic person and loves to bake, watch super cheesey movies and spends far too much time on Pinterest saving images of things she wants to make – that she admits probably never will! In addition to working at In Good Company, she is busy completing her accounting degree through UNISA. Once completed, she hopes to travel a bit more before settling down.
ABOUT KERRY
Kerry is a bubbly, energetic and fabulous 21 year old, currently studying Events Planning as well as Business Management through Damelin. She is a very creative person and loves planning dinner parties for family and friends. She is always up for a new challenge and a firm believer in the saying “you never know until you try”.
ABOUT STEPHANIE
Stephanie believes that we need to grab every opportunity to celebrate the good moments in life and no occasion is too insignificant not to be treasured. She studied fashion design, so to her detail is everything. She loves beautiful things especially those having a classic style with a modern twist. And without sounding like she is trying to score brownie points, she loves In Good Company. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, good chocolate and spending time with her husband.
ABOUT MAIKE
Maike is a photographer, a wife, an adventurer and a lover of all things beautiful. She loves seeking adventure, whether it is running through a forest with her dogs, Beard and Noodle, or thrifting at fleamarkets for antiques or road-tripping with her husband Travis through South Africa. She also has a love for all things beautiful - especially when it comes to decorating a blank space or designing an interior or even better - decorating a shop! This love for adventure and beautiful things is what led her to In Good Company. She is excited to be the shop’s manager and is looking forward to many more adventures with In Good Company. Also, together with her husband, Maike runs a small photography business called ‘welovepictures’, which is known for its distinctive documentary approach to the wedding celebration.
ABOUT MAXIE
Maxie is proudly South African, absolutely loves people and helping them out - her biggest dream is to make our wonderful country a better and more beautiful place for all. Maxie is married to a whacky, redheaded Californian (USA) Chris and they have been living in Cape Town for almost a year now. Maxie loves coffee, anything beautiful, thrifting, biking, beach time and travelling whenever she gets the chance.
ABOUT KATE
Rosy cheeks, curls and a perpetual smile, Kate likes to celebrate the goodness of life, taking pleasure in the inarduous things. Whether it’s walking in the mountains, boogying it down to a top track or enjoying a simple gathering of friends, there is always a laugh to be had and a kind word to be spoken when Kate is around.
