THE FACE BEHIND IN GOOD COMPANY
Julie Gallagher is the founder of In Good Company, a blog specialising in stylish design and decor for parties.
In Good Company started back in 2009 with the opening of an online store and showroom in Sandton with the sole aim of making gorgeous imported party goods reasonable and readily accessible in South Africa. And with much demand, was followed by the opening of the first store in Parkhurst in August 2011; and the unique service of offering many sought after goods for hire.
With Julie's unique ability to be in two places at once, one foot in South Africa and the other in Europe, In Good Company was able to provide the best the world had to offer but also ensure personal service through her dedicated team and online availability. "I love entertaining, but my friend's are right when they say it is the planning and sourcing part that I enjoy more than the actual partying."
In April 2013, a Cape Town store opened and much to the delight of her friends in April 2014, Julie opened a branch in her home town Zug, Switzerland.
Julie is also admired for her innovative touch, inspired by her travels, keen interest in the industry and financial background. "I love the challenge of taking an idea, turning it into a reality, and more so within the constraints of time and a budget." And is for this reason that Julie was sought out for features and workshops for major SA publications and as a columnist for the DIY feature of Wedding Inspirations Magazine for the past 5 years.
And eventhough, the stores of In Good Company officially closed in August 2016, the party continues here on the blog with daily inspiration from Julie's own celebratins and her styling work she continues to contribute to local and international publications.
Julie is married to Liam Gallagher (not the one from Oasis!) and a mother of two little girls, Zara and Bailey, and just recently two ragdoll kittens Ella and Emma.
