"Yes we can!" Have a party that celebrates the land of the free and an all American menu.
REAL GOOD PARTY ADVICE
Red, white and you! An all American theme party is ideal for occasions like the US elections and the 4th of July, but as everything about the US is so popular especially the food spread out for such a bash, host this any day or night.
Born in the USA For invitations, we bought USA bumper stickers and stuck these to pre-cut royal blue cards, wrote the party details inside and posted in matching envelopes.
You can't beat the feeling! Drinks could not be simpler: beers and soft drinks, Coca Cola and the like.
Snap, crackle and pop As not a very good cook myself, this has to be the easiest menu to prepare. For snacks: open bags and tins of peanuts, pretzels, chips and fresh popcorn. We also served some mini pizzas to fill the gap.
BBQ time For the main course serve up gourmet hamburgers with "Freedom" fries.
Mmmmmm! For dessert, I whipped up some chocolate brownies (from a store-bought mix, and then also had bowls of M&Ms, chocolate chip cookies and fresh doughnuts from the bakery down the road. Who says American's don't have their own cuisine?
Stars and stripes Red, blue and white table linen and crockery were used to set the table. And I made USA flag felt placemats by simply just cutting out some rectangles and stars.
Take-away treats For party favours, I filled mini red-lidded white Tupperware bowls with leftover popcorn and chocolate brownies. Much appreciated by guests for the ride
