Bright Invite

DECORATIONS
Chilli Colours
Mexico is renowned for their bright colours, so go with hot chilli pepper colours: red, orange and yellow. Another good colour palette is the Mexican flag colours: red, green and white, but you want to be sure that other decorations are distinctly Mexican so as not to be confused with Italy. And for a more romantic occasion, add purple and turquoise.
Bright bold red, orange and yellow table runners were laid across the table, and red linen napkins. Crockery was white with red stripes and orange handled cutlery - mix and match any tableware as long as it is bright!
TOP TIP: Flower Pot
Create a centerpiece of bright flowers placed in a jug or terracotta planter. Or instead of flowers fill coloured stoneware with either real or fake cacti and candles. In our case, they were one and the same! Another great idea is to serve food in terracotta pieces, or use terracotta tiles as trivets.

Hot Toppers
Using our free download, print and cut out images. Stick to bamboo skewers for spicing up drinking glasses or food platters. Print on sticker paper and adhere to napkin rings or favour bags.

Olé
Possibly hiring a Mariachi band is a bit over the top, but download authentic Mexican music and it will feel like there is one "just around the corner", or hire our classic CD.
Piñatas
No party is complete without a piñata, especially if it is a Mexican one, so be sure to fill one up to the top with sweeties, tie think ribbon for a blindfold, pick up any old broomstick and get swinging!
FAVOURS
Tequila Take-away
Buy inexpensive shot glasses; add a mini bottle of Tequila, some salt packets and a little bottle of lemon juice. Place these in a miniature box or brown paper bag. Tie with raffia and real/dried chillies. Attach a tag: IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: OPEN.
