Start a new family tradition this Christmas, and send out a Christmas Family Photo. Not only is this a great and more personal greeting to the recipients, but also it is a wonderful keepsake and photographic timeline for your family. Here are some tips to help you get started.

Do it early.
You want to be sure that not only is the photo done, but also all the printing, writing inside of the cards, addressing and posting happens before the mad Christmas rush...

Pick a Theme
Your photo can be a simple "family portrait" type shot or be creative with some props and do something different. Here are some ideas that we love:

Have each family member hold up a white wooden letter, spelling out a Christmas word for example: MERRY, NOEL or JOY. (Check out our CHRISTMAS SHOP as we have white wooden letters for sale, great for the photo and decorating for the holidays!).

If it is your child's first Christmas, why not take a picture of the baby in a just unwrapped Christmas box.

If you are camera shy, take a picture of your pet sporting a Father Christmas hat.

Have your hand or a child's hand sticking in the cookie jar - "I tried to be good!"

Each wears a pair of devil horns "Just plain naughty!"

For a couple stage a "Kiss Under the Mistletoe".

You could also have a picture of a kid peeking around the corner, while Mom is kissing Dad dressed up as Santa and the caption "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus!".

Take a picture of your families feet all in a row (at the beach would be perfect and with red nail polish) "Happy Mistletoes!"

How about sunbathing with the caption "Dreaming of a White Christmas?"

Or better yet, make a "snowman" out of beach sand...

Pick a Card
Decide what style card you want and buy the necessary cardboard, you may even wish to add some pretty scrapbooking embellishments. Or you can simply email out a digital version to everyone!
