button frame
A great gift for Granny and Grandpa at Christmas time, a button photo frame featuring your child's artwork. Alternatively, you may wish to frame the photo of them sitting on Santa's lap. Read our article Photoshop in this issue for ideas and how you can do this for free!

MATERIALS Plain wood picture frame Red or green paint Paintbrushes Assorted coloured buttons in different shapes and sizes (not larger than the width of the frame rim) Glue Paper Coloured pencils
DIRECTIONS Paint the wooden frame using your chosen colour, and let it dry completely. Apply a further coat of paint, if necessary. Glue buttons to the rim of your frame, alternating different sizes and shapes. Press down hard to ensure each button is in place, leave to dry. While you are waiting for the paint or the glue to dry, draw a picture for the inside - Christmas tree, Santa or any other Christmas related scene. Place this inside the frame. |
