The Royal Wedding is only a few days away and I am busy planning a Royal Tea Party for my friends and their daughters. Naturally, everything is going to be very British and in the classic Union Jack colours of red, blue and white. I hardly ever work with this colour scheme so it is going to be a great challenge to try and pull of something elegant and classy with such a bold colour palette – but I guess everything looks good with a bit of gold!

For ideas, I find myself referring back to this English tea party I did earlier this year for a Party Pieces bridal shower blog post. The colours are completely different but most of the ideas I will be replicating: bunting, bunches of flowers, tiered stands of sandwiches, little cakes; and all different kinds of hot and ice tea. I’ll be sure to share the Royal Tea party details and photos later – but until then enjoy this pastel themed version.
